God is a Spirit
Worship God in Truth and in Spirit
In John Chapter 4 our Lord teaches us that: God is a Spirit:
John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is,
when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth;
for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him
must worship in spirit and truth.
So the Word of God is true but the Word of God is also spiritual.
When we try to understand God’s word through the spirit we are worshiping Him in Spirit and God will increase our understanding of the truth through His Spirit.
In 1 Corinthians 3:1 Paul says: And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. References to the first believers as being spiritual babes drinking milk but who are meant to mature and eat spiritual meat can also be found in Romans 2, Hebrews 5 and 1 Peter 2. Paul and Peter are continuously praying that the Church of Christ will begin to "eat meat" growing in spiritual understanding and knowledge of God.
This site was created to study the Word of God focusing on the spiritual meaning, going beyond carnal / worldly understanding, which will open our eyes to the truth. It is important that you have read The Holy Bible in its entirety, Old and New Testament, the Books of Enoch 1, 2 and 3, The Book of Jubilees and The Book of Jasher.
There is also 2 Esdras (Ezra) which is not included in all Old Testament versions of the Holy Bible but should be. (These books can be read on-line for free or can be purchased in book form).
The totality of the words in these books are used to enlighten our understanding of God's Word and what God wants us to learn about Him and His plans for us. So if you have read these books and are ready to eat some spiritual meat then I invite you to read on.
When Jesus Christ walked on earth among us he spoke and taught in parables. Jesus used the physical and familiar earthly things in His parables to represent the complex spiritual things.
Jesus asks, “I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” (John 3:12)
Once we understand the spiritual meaning of a parable we can begin to worship God in truth and in spirit.
If Jesus speaks and teaches in parables so does God his Father,
because they are “one”...
Jesus says in John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment,
what I should say, and what I should speak.

John 10:24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. 26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
John 12:44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. 45 And he that sees me sees him that sent me. 46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejects me, and receives not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting:
whatsoever I speak therefore,
even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Our amazing and awesome God decided he wanted children in his own image and likeness. God wants his children to know that they are part of his creation, the purpose of this life and what to expect in the next life when His creation is finished. God’s creation is intricate and complex far beyond our understanding so He speaks to us in parables.
Matthew 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
God’s word is true. I believe that the Word of God in the first 2 chapters of Genesis accurately describes the creation of the world we are familiar with and if we read it in spirit it accurately describes the spiritual creation we should familiarize ourselves with.
The physical visible things referenced in a parable have qualities that help us understand the spiritual invisible things God our Father would like us to understand. Before we begin our study of Genesis, it is helpful to read Mathew 13:1 thru 53 where Jesus tells and then explains the Parable of the Sower and the Parable of the Tares of the Field to his Apostles. Jesus tells 3 more short parables and asks his Apostles ”Have you understood all these things?". Jesus is teaching them that if they begin to think differently, spiritually, they will be able to understand a parable’s meaning without requiring an explanation. To read these parables click on:
